Leadership Excellence Certification

The Leadership Excellence Certification (LEC) program is a partnership between GACVB and The Leadership Institute at Columbus State University, and provides a unique professional development opportunity for tourism professionals to grow and excel in their careers.

The LEC program includes twenty-four hours of coursework in three areas of leadership focus:

  • Supervising Excellence
  • Organizational Excellence
  • Strategic Excellence

Upon completing all three tiers, the Leadership Excellence Certification designation will be awarded.

The sessions, which lead to certification, are open to all industry leaders – not just CVB professionals. Attending LEC sessions does not require you to pursue the LEC designation, but a record of your credits will be kept (for 5 years or through your completion of the program) in the event you decide to pursue the designation at a later time. Sessions are offered annually at GACVB’s Annual Conference.
