President, Darien-McIntosh County Chamber of Commerce

The Darien-McIntosh County Chamber of Commerce is seeking applications for the position of president. The position reports to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and is the paid executive of the Chamber.  The president is responsible for establishing and executing major goals and objectives for the Chamber and Regional Visitor Information Center.  The president is responsible for providing recommendations, leadership, direction and guidance to coordinate Chamber and Visitor Center activities.  The president is responsible for the daily operations of the Chamber as well as the Regional Visitor Information Center. Applicants must have strong communication skills, knowledge of basic computer programs including but not limited to Micro-Soft Word, Excel and Quickbooks. Those who are interested in the position should have a degree in administration, finance, marketing or the equivalent experience.  They should have thorough knowledge of the community and an understanding of business, and the economic climate in McIntosh County as well as the state of Georgia. Tourism Program Coordinator, Douglasville CVB

President & CEO, Explore Newnan-Coweta (ENC)

(Newnan, Georgia) Explore Newnan-Coweta, Inc. (ENC) is a newly formed 501c-6 and has been designated as the community’s Destination Marketing Organization (DMO). ENC is seeking a tourism professional to serve as the organization’s first president and chief executive officer. The newly appointed president will have the opportunity to build the organization and team from ground up. As a salaried full-time employee, the professional reports to the chair of the board and serves as the spokesperson for tourism in Newnan and Coweta County. The Chason Group has been retained to lead the executive search.


Tourism, Marketing and Special Events Coordinator, Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce and Welcome Center

The Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization serving as the Welcome Center for Eatonton / Putnam County. The Tourism & Special Events Coordinator is a full time, salaried position holding a dual role: promoting Eatonton-Putnam County as a tourist destination thus creating heads in beds, as well as fundraising for the Chamber through events. Promoting Eatonton-Putnam County as a tourist destination includes creating a marketing plan that encompasses participating in state, regional and local organizations; designing and distributing brochures on local attractions; creating advertising; and always serving as a gracious host to tourists, travel writers, tour groups and the local community. The fundraising efforts include complete execution of the annual events: A spring Golf Tournament and the Taste of Eatonton. Marietta Welcome Center Manager, Visit Marietta GA

The Marietta Visitors Bureau and Welcome Center is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to promote Marietta as a premier destination for visitors traveling to the metro Atlanta area. Located in a historic train depot on the Marietta Square, the Welcome Center traditionally sees over 25,000 visitors a year. We are looking for a new manager to help us with greeting guests and providing regional travel information (lodging, dining, attractions, and travel route directions). This role is also responsible for coordinating volunteers, managing the gift shop and seeing our center is presentable for our guests. Key Skill Sets: The search committee is seeking professionals with excellent communications skills. Written, verbal, listening and digital media communication skill sets are vital for the position. A collaborative leadership style is preferred by the committee. The successful candidate will be working with small and large groups on a continuous basis – including a board of directors, members, internal team, government entities on the local, regional, state and national levels, other non-profit groups and the general public. Candidates will be responsible for developing an organizational culture that exudes partnerships for the global success of the chamber.
