Tourism Day at the Capitol ~ Thursday, March 5, 2026

On March 5, 2026, more than 200 tourism leaders from across Georgia gathered under the Gold Dome for Tourism Day at the Capitol, showcasing the powerful impact of the visitor economy on communities throughout our state.

During the event, industry leaders presented Governor Brian Kemp with a ceremonial check representing $5.1 billion in state and local tax revenue generated by tourism—an increase of $100 million over last year. The moment highlighted the continued growth of Georgia’s tourism industry and the critical role it plays in supporting jobs, local businesses, and community development statewide.

It was an incredible day of advocacy, partnership, and celebration of the people and destinations that make Georgia such a special place to visit.

A special shout-out to our advocacy partner Hughes Public Affairs for their help and hard work on this event!
