Most businesses spend a large amount of time thinking about how to increase their bottom line and give far less attention to how to increase the leadership skills of those people in charge of their bottom line.

Isn’t it ironic that we often have to go outside of the walls of our office to truly envision how to work better, lead better and be better?

GACVB offers its members this opportunity annually at the Winter Meeting. In 2012 in the shadow of the St. Simons Lighthouse, we will be Shining Brightly by the Sea. Take this opportunity to reach, stretch, learn and grow. Soak up the leadership sessions, share ideas in the shirtsleeve sessions, discuss best practices with your peers in a relaxed environment. Directions from the North:

I-75 South to Macon
I-16 East to Savannah
I-95 South to Georgia Exit #38
Turn left off ramp onto Georgia Spur 25
Spur 25 will merge with US Hwy 17 South after eight traffic signals
Follow US Hwy 17 South to third traffic signal and turn left onto the St. Simons Island (Torras) Causeway
Arriving on the island, bear left at the round-a-bout, onto Sea Island Road.
Proceed approximately 2.5 miles to the traffic signal and turn left, (Frederica Road)
Sea Palms Guest Registration building is 1.5 miles on the left
Clubhouse and Conference Center are across the street on Windward Drive
The board meeting will be held in the Cypress room in the Conference Center

Directions from the South:

I-95 North to Georgia Exit #29
Turn right off ramp to US Hwy 17 North
Proceed approximately ten miles to the St. Simons Island (Torras) Causeway
Turn right onto causeway
Arriving on the island, bear left at the round-a-bout, onto Sea Island Road.
Proceed approximately 2.5 miles to the traffic signal and turn left, (Frederica Road)
Sea Palms Guest Registration building is 1.5 miles on the left
Clubhouse and Conference Center are across the street on Windward Drive
